
Sambal Sardines

This time, wants to share a recipe for Sambal Sardines with sambal sauce. The ingredients are not hard to find and for single people it is easy to cook, express menu. Sometimes you don’t know what to cook for sahur, you can try cooking sambal this way.
We fry canned sardines first before cooking the sauce with ground stir-fry ingredients. It’s different when you fry fish.
Ingredients:
- 3 stalks of red chili
- 4 stalks of chili rice
- 4 small shallots
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1-2 potatoes
- 1 sb sos take
- 2 sb sos which
- 1/2 large onion
- Salt to taste
- A little squeeze of lime juice
- 1 large can of sardines
How to Prepare:
- Coarsely chop large chilies, rice chilies, shallots and garlic, then grind coarsely.
- Cut a large onion round (for sprinkling).
- Peel potatoes, cut into wedges, soak for a while then mix with salt.
- Heat the oil and fry the potatoes. When the potatoes are brown, you can remove them and put them aside.
- Separate the contents of the sardines and the sauce, then fry the fish until crisp.
- Remove the fish and set aside first.
- Saute the coarsely ground ingredients until wilted.
- Add all the sardine sauce and stir until the oil breaks.
- Add salt, oyster sauce, chili sauce, fried potatoes and fried sardines.
- Add a little water if the sauce is dry.
- Squeeze a little lime juice (to remove fishiness).
- Finally, sprinkle the onion slices and chili padi.
Tip:
- When separating the fish filling and the sauce, rinse the fish filling with water to reduce the effect of exploding when fried later.
- Fry the potatoes on medium heat. Let the outside of the potato brown but the inside of the potato is a little hard, because we will cook it again.
- When frying the fish, wait for the underside to dry before moving it, if you move it too quickly, the fish filling will easily fall apart.
