How to Make Chubby And Fluffy Donuts

The donut dough for this recipe is categorized as “enrich dough” because we use butter, eggs and milk. The fat in these ingredients when kneaded with bread flour will produce soft and fluffy donuts even without using bread softener.

The donuts are still soft until the next day. If you want to make frozen, it is also very suitable.

    • 250g bread flour
    • 100ml milk

    • 1/4 sk salt
    • 1/4 tsp baking powder
    • 1 tbsp butter
    • Sugar for coating

How to Prepare:

  1. Methods for donuts:
    1. Mix yeast with milk and sugar. Stir well to dissolve the sugar a little.
    2. Break the eggs and add them to the yeast mixture. (if you are not sure, you can break the egg into another container first, for fear of including the eggshell or other foreign matter). Beat together the egg and yeast mixture then set aside.
    3. Put bread flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix well so that the salt is coated with flour.
    4. Add the flour, baking powder and yeast mixture to the mixer. Knead for 10 minutes.
    5. Add butter (you can replace it with margarine if you like). Keep kneading until it is elastic and does not stick.
    6. Remove the dough and continue kneading a little.
    7. Marinate for about 1 hour or until the dough doubles in size.
    8. Weigh the weight of the dough and divide it into 15 or 20 parts (if 20 the donuts will be smaller and cute), Che Nom weighs and weighs for one 30g donut.
    9. Round the dough then cover and rest for 10 minutes.
    10. Place the dough on baking paper that has been cut into small pieces and sprinkled with flour because you don’t want the dough to stick.
    11. Press the dough to flatten a little, approximately 1 cm thick.
    12. Then you can make a hole in the middle.
    13. Rest for another 20 minutes.
    14. Heat oil and fry on medium heat.
    15. When the donuts are ready, you can pick them up and coat them with fine sugar.

Tip:

  • Before adding the yeast mixture to the flour mixture, mix the flour and salt until well combined. If the yeast is exposed to salt, it will affect the function of the yeast.
  • The time for marinating the dough may not be the same because it depends on the weather, some places are hot and some are a little cold.
  • Che Nom likes to coat with powdered sugar while the donuts are still warm. Kadana Che Nom also sprinkle a little cinnamon bark powder.
  • If you want to make it frozen, you can fry it until golden and store it in the fridge. If you want to eat, take it out and fry it again and coat it with sugar.
