Nyonya’s Tart recipe, really classic and delicious biscuits. It’s quite easy to prepare these biscuits. All the dry ingredients are combined and then mixed with the egg yolk. Don’t forget to rest the dough because the gluten in the dough takes time to develop and the texture of the biscuits will be softer and crispy.

Ingredients:

- 300 grams wheat flour*
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch*
- 3 tablespoons icing sugar*
- 200 grams of butter, cut into cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 egg yolks
- Ingredients for jam:
- 2 pineapples, grated and drained
- 600 grams of sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2-3 dots of yellow dye
How to Prepare:
- Methods for tart:
- Round the tart core to approximately the size of a marble ball.
- Sift ingredients or flour marked *. Mix the sifted flour with the butter until it has a breadcrumb-like texture.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla essence little by little, knead until it becomes a soft dough.
- Rest in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour.
- Remove the dough and roll it by lining the top with plastic wrap. By using this method, the soft dough will not stick to the roller. Apply the dough with a mold and decorate with tart filling.
- Bake in the oven at a temperature of 170-175 degrees Celsius (the temperature depends on your oven) for 20-25 minutes.
- Ways to make pineapple jam:
- Cook pineapple with sugar.
- When almost dry, add the yellow coloring and cinnamon. Cook on low heat until dry.
- Round off the dough for the center of the nyonya tart.
