How to Make Classic Mazola Biscuits or Peanut Biscuits

How to Prepare:

    8. Pour in the sifted ingredients little by little and mix until it becomes like breadcrumbs.
    9. When it’s mixed, you can pour in the Mazola oil little by little and continue kneading until you get a soft and easy-to-shape dough. Che Nom didn’t use the oil until it was all gone, there was still 1/4 cup left.
    10. Form Mazola bean cookies and arrange on a baking sheet.
    11. Then put 1/2 peanuts on top of the cookies for decoration.
    12. Break the egg and take only the yolk. Add a little orange coloring and mix well.
    13. Brush the egg yolk on top of the cookies. Just wipe a little bit.
    14. Bake in the oven at 160°C for 20-25 minutes, if there is a fan you can just turn it on.
    15. Then remove and cool before storing in a jar.

Tip:

  • Before grinding the peanuts, Che Nom will select the nuts he wants to decorate first before measuring and grinding the others.
  • If you want to replace the icing sugar with granulated sugar, you can grind it fine and then sift it as usual.
  • To make biscuits, we can measure the dough with a measuring spoon, then shape it round. This method is really easy to get an even size and you don’t need to weigh it.
  • Or another way, you can roll the dough about 1 cm thick and apply it with a mold. Can make all kinds of shapes. This method of application is really fast.
  • After shaping, we can press (flatten the biscuits) so that the biscuits cook faster, because they are not too thick. If it’s round, I’m afraid the inside will take time to cook, I’m afraid the inside will be raw later.
