The first, we cook using popcorn oil that is specially prepared for cooking popcorn, and the second we cook corn kernels using homemade popcorn oil from cooking oil and butter.

After it’s ready to cook, we make lumps of caramel sugar to cover with popcorn. The cost to do it yourself is cheap. It’s worth making it at home because you can eat it and share it with family members. Eating sambal while watching Korean stories is also very good.

- 1/4 sk salt

- When the oil is hot, add the popcorn and mix well.
- When the popcorn starts to pop, close the lid of the pot and reduce the heat.
- Shake the pot occasionally.
- When popcorn and cooked pour into a large bowl.

- Add cooking oil and butter.
- Add the popcorn and stir until the popcorn pops.
- Close the lid of the pot and turn down the heat, fearing the popcorn will burn.
- Cook until it explodes.
- How to caramelize sugar:
- Put white sugar and water in a pan.
- Cook until the sugar water melts and turns brown. No need to stir, just shake the pan.
- When the sugar water turns light brown, add butter and turn off the heat (to avoid dark and bitter caramel). Stir until thick
- Add salt. Stir well.
- Add baking soda and stir quickly.
- Quickly pour in the caramel in the popcorn.
- Stir in the popcorn quickly while the caramel is still hot.
- Move the popcorn in the tray and release the popcorn that sticks.
Tip:
- Use a large and tall pot so there is enough room for the popcorn to explode.
- When the popcorn starts to explode, turn down the heat because the popcorn will burn quickly.
- We can’t use all the butter to cook the popcorn, mix a little cooking oil, because the butter burns quickly and the popcorn will not taste good.
- When cooking caramel, make sure the ingredients are ready (stand by) because the process of cooking caramel is fast, if it’s too late the sugar will burn or it will get cold if left for a long time.
